Beng Love Episode 4 – “First Date”

I animated Episode 4 of a series called Beng Love on Klik.TV. I did the animation for the opener in the series, as well as the audio design for all the episodes. I’m slated to do Episode 9 and 11 as well.

Check it out here.

Who Framed The Cat? – 3D Animation

My 3D animation project for Orita.Sinclair in June. It was the first time I ever made a 3D animation or touched a 3D program in my life, so I’m pretty happy with the results. It’s a lot more work than you might realize. The final render for this 2 minute piece took about 290 hours, and that was after I tried to save some time to submit it by the due date. There are definitely some noticeable mistakes, but all things considered, I’m quite pleased with it. Created using Lightwave.

Esplanade Jul-Sep ‘08 Means Exhibition

My 2D animation entitled Playing Along was shown on the plasma screens at the Singapore Esplanade. I didn’t even know about it until my friend pointed it out to me! Only the beginning..

Check out some photos (via camera phone) of the exhibition… ch-ch-check it out…

Playing Along – 2D Animation

I’ve had to delay the official start of this blog for months now because I’ve been so preoccupied with getting my school work done. I’m attending this course called Diploma of New Media Art at Orita Sinclair in Singapore, and they’ve got me running around doing all kinds of crazy. One crazy i’ve been up to the past 2 months has been completing a 2D animation film in which I produce everything myself from the ground up. This sounds like a lot of fun, but when you consider that I have absolutely no drawing talent at all, it becomes extremely tedious. Surprisingly though, I managed to get a lot better at drawing taking this course, and this is what I came up with for my project. Everything done 100% by Davadrian Maramis – that’s over 4000 individually drawn frames, folks.

Anyways, I’m extremely happy with the outcome and have a newfound sense of respect for animators everywhere. And now, on to doing my 3D animation, Video, Integrated Media Project, Flash Website project, Corporite Identity, and Flash Game project – all due in the next 1.5 months. All kinds of crazy.
